Forfeiture conditions

Successful applicants have to pay stamp duty, registration and other charges to the concerned public authorities at the time of transfer of land by way of appropriate indenture.

Outstation applicants may apply through internet by downloading the brochure with  application form on payment application money along with the price of the brochure to one of the bank branches specified in the brochure.

All the promoter members of the proposed society (applicant)  must have completed 18 years of age on 16.11.2004 and  shall be competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act,1872.

Income eligibility criteria as already indicated before. [Reference para 4 Table 1] is to be fulfilled. Gross Family Income will be taken as stood on 1st March, 2004

Each and every person intending to be a member of cooperative housing society shall fulfill all the conditions in this brochure in respect of income, age, reservation etc. on the date of application to WBHIDCO Ltd together with conditions as laid down in the West Bengal Co-operative Societies Act 1983 and the Rules framed there under.

Mode of Disposal

WBHIDCO Ltd. will dispose of plots by open advertisement in various newspapers (both vernacular and English) and allotments will be made by draw of lots in presence of applicants remaining  present on the date of draw of lots.

Provision for mortgage

The allottee on payment of full land price and other charges outstanding, if any, may with the previous permission of WBHIDCO Ltd. create a mortgage on the demised land as security for loan to be raised by him from any RBI/NHB recognised financial institution, State and Central Government for construction purpose.

Joint  Membership

Joint application will be permitted but within the members of the same family as referred to in the West Bengal Cooperative Societies Act, 1983.

Observance of Acts, Rules and Regulations of New Town

All allottee Cooperative Housing Societies and its members of New Town have to undertake the activities in strict adherence to Acts, Rules and Regulations framed / to be framed from time to time applicable for the New Town Kolkata.
